Hey Bert!

Every day is a great day to receive a Hall of Famer’s autograph but today was especially great because of the quantity of items from Bert Blyleven. It took just seven days to get back the following items signed exactly as requested by Bert:
07.16.2011 Twins Ticket w/”#28 Retired”
1973/1974/1976/1986 Topps Wendy’s cards
2011 Baseball Hall of Fame Yearbook w/”HOF 2011″
I am so excited on each of these!
I also received the June, 1988 Baseball Digest that I just got back signed by Bret Saberhagen now signed by Mark Gubicza. He returned my donation and included his full signature instead of his typical “G”.
Lastly, Ryan S (Rls2239 on SCN) had a private signing with Jake Odorizzi. I sent in the last cards I needed signed by Jake to complete all the Twins cards I needed. I received:
2019 Topps #63
2020 Topps #409
05.10.2019 Topps Now #210
2020 Topps New Road To Opening Day #OD-146
Great day!

Slammin’ Sammy & Great Scott!

Today’s mail brought in a couple real nice items! So nice that I had signature confirmation on it so I knew where it landed if it wasn’t me. Mike C (Mac6185 on SCN) assisted with getting a couple items done for me at a show recently. I received a pair of Sports Illustrated magazines as well as a completion to my 2023 Hall of Fame Induction ticket. Mike was able to get Sammy Sosa to sign my 09.21.1998 SI in blue Sharpie and 07.02.2018 in silver paint pen. He got Scott Rolen to sign my 2023 HOF Induction ticket perfectly to match the already signed Fred McGriff on it. It looks really sweet! I am excited to knock these off and add them to my collection!

Tony O!

A friend of mine reached out to see if I saw a post on SCN regarding a free Tony Oliva appearance at a local business. I had not so I looked into it. I saw it was coming up and asked my brother if he and his wife wanted to join my wife and I and afterwards we could go visit our parents and take them out to dinner and he was all in. We arrived at The Ballpark around 1pm and there was a very short line. The four of us got through the line within 15 minutes. My wife got a pair of Allen & Ginter cards signed and I got his Hall of Fame induction ticket. My sister-in-law got my Spanish Hall of Fame postcard signed for me and my brother got a ball for himself. Then my wife and sister-in-law sat down and my brother and I went through the line again. This time I got a ticket stub from the game he had his #6 retired and my brother got a card for himself. The staff at The Ballpark was amazingly friendly welcoming us and hoping we enjoyed our time there when we left. It is a place my brother and I spoke of having to get to sometime and take some cuts in the batting cages for fun. Tony is now 86 and it slowing down so it was real nice to get some autographs for the collection. A round up of what I added to my collection today was:
2022 Allen & Ginter #165
2024 Allen & Ginter #322
2022 Hall of Fame Induction Ticket
Spanish Hall of Fame postcard
07.14.1991 Twins ticket stub with #6 inscribed
