A Beautiful Meadow

LGC Sports Marketing recently had a private signing with Austin Meadows. Today I received a pair of tickets I sent in for the signing… The first ticket was a debut ticket and asked for “ML Debut” inscription and the other was his first home run ticket and asked for “1st ML HR” inscription. I asked for them to be signed using a silver paint pen and boy, do these tickets look awesome. Since both events happened in Pittsburgh, the tickets had a black background and the autograph and inscriptions look amazing. I am really pleased with these new additions to my collection!

Grandpa Rossy

Today I received my 10.10.2016 Sports Illustrated magazine back from Elite Icons Memorabilia where they were able to get Davis Ross to sign it. It now has eight autographs on it! I will probably never finish it because it has John Lackey, Anthony Rizzo, and Kris Bryant and they are tough, tough, tough! It is still a fun little project I started. I will take it as far as I can.

Dead Red

Today I received my 1971 Topps Twins Rookie Stars card signed by Jim Nettles. Anthony Solano had a private signing with him so I sent in the card I had. What makes this exciting is that this card was already signed by Pete Hamm. Even though Pete is still alive, he just doesn’t sign autographs so having any card signed by him is pretty rare. The card I had was signed by Pete in red Sharpie so I included a red Sharpie in my package to Anthony and Jim signed it perfectly with it. While I would prefer blue over red, I am just happy that they are both the same color on a hard to find completed card! I already had a single signed Nettles card in blue but that will never get completed.
