Today I went to see Bert Blyleven. He was signing at the Twin Cities Sports Collectors Club show at the Valley West Mall in Bloomington. I had bought a ticket for he and Francisco Liriano but Francisco needed to get his arm looked at so I got a refund for him. I was only going to get the HOF postcard signed by Bert but since I got the refund for Liriano, I added a few bucks more and bought a ticket and got a ball signed with HOF 2011.
Do you believe in Miracles?- Part II
Today the Twin Cities Sports Collectors Club had 1980 US Olympic hockey player Mike Ramsey at the show to sign autographs. Since I have been loosely working on the two Sports Illustrated magazines featuring them on the cover, I thought I would add Mike to them. Mike was very nice and did a great job of signing them. I now have six of the players on each SI.

Today was a typical Kemp’s Kids Day autograph session. Since I went to the game with Cami and she is all about autographs, we waited in line. It appeared in the beginning that we might not have a shot but they moved the line along really fast and Cami was able to get both Matt Capps and Anthony Swarzak to sign a Target Field Upper Deck card for her collection. She was really excited!
Touch ’em All!
Today was the Twin Cities Sports Collectors Club monthly card show. I have been going to the show for years but just recently decided to become a member. A life member at that. Dave B and his crew do a great job when autograph guests are there. A number of dealers there recognize me from over the years and are always kind to me. It is a great group of people!
