SI Day!

Today was a great day for my Sports Illustrated collection.  I received two packages that had SI’s in them.  The first was my 2012 issue that featured three Baltimore Orioles on the cover.  It was signed by Adam Jones and Nick Markakis already and just needed Endy Chavez.  My friend Greg N (justgreg on SCN) was able to get him to finish it off as Endy is now playing for the Tacoma Rainiers (Greg’s home team).  Greg was awesome and got it signed a day or two after he got it.  One of the fastest turnaround times ever!  THANK YOU for everything Greg!

The next package contained a pair of the same issue that Sergio Romo signed for me.  J Carr (graphmanj on SCN) was involved in a signing via LOJO Sports and got the pair of 2012 issues signed by Sergio for me.

Just a Ball

Today I got just a ball.  It was packaged well and looks awesome.  It is Tony Cingrani who is a good young fireball pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds.  I bought it from Chris M (crazybob60 on SCN).

An interesting fact on Tony is “Since 1914, which is as far back as game logs go, Cingrani holds the record for most consecutive starts with five or fewer hits allowed.”  I found this here.  Pretty impressive!

A Set of Twins

Today I received a few card from the Twins’ recent road trip to Kansas City.  Dustin N (royals_chiefs on SCN) got me the following:
2013 Topps Update Anthony Swarzak
2014 Topps Brian Dozier
2014 Topps Heritage Brian Dozier
2014 Topps Heritage Glen Perkins
2014 Topps Heritage Phil Hughes
2014 Topps Heritage Josmil Pinto
I have worked with Dustin a couple times in the past and have been pleased.  This time was no different.  Thanks Dustin!
