Adventures in Autograph Collecting
Today was a fun day getting a couple autographed items along with some cool tickets for the collection.
The autographed items are a 1963 Topps Bill Tuttle card that David P (dcpolak on SCN) was selling. The other item is my Sports Illustrated magazine from 04.20.2016 already signed by Madison Bumgarner and Buster Posey that now is complete after Johnny Cueto signed it in the Dominican Republic for a PastPros/Under The Radar Sports signing. No, I don’t have strep throat. I do, however, have a few new Pedro Strop autographs in my collection! Jeremy F (jeremymichael on SCN) had a signing event with Pedro and got two 08.31.2015 Sports Illustrated magazines and a ticket from his ML Debut signed for me. Pedro made his ML Debut at the Metrodome when he was pitching with the Rangers. He signed it with “MLB Debut 8/28/2009”. I my Cubs team SI is out for a Joe Maddon signing otherwise I would have gotten that signed too. Maybe someday!
I recently saw on SCN that Ryan S (rls2239 on SCN) was having a signing with Al Avila and I needed a 2020 Topps Update U-54 card signed for my Twins team set so I sent it in. Received it today signed beautifully in blue Sharpie.
Today’s mail brought a pair of JSA authenticated Alec Bohm signed baseballs. Bill M (nosamm on SCN) had a signing with Alec and I sent in a pair of baseballs. They were signed beautifully on the sweetspot with the pen I provided!
