I have sent a few things to Bert Blyleven over the years since he started accepting mail items for signing along with a fee. You may recall I mentioned a Hall of Fame Induction Weekend press area ticket I acquired a little bit ago and got Pat Gillick on it. I sent it to Bert along with an original 1978 Focus on Sports card and received both signed beautifully today. Bert even included his typical post it note thanking me! Great stuff! Thanks Bert!

Sweet Music
Topps recently issued a set of painted cards by Andy Friedman. I found a seller selling them on eBay and bought a pair of the Kent Hrbek and Frank Viola ones. I thought they would cool signed. When I received the cards I was not overly impressed but sent them off to each former Twin player and received my first pair back today. Frank Viola signed both beautifully. His card is #21 in the set. Frank has not let me down with my recent requests to him (with donations of course)!
Tony O
I may be a little bias here but I have felt for years that Tony Oliva deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. As a person, he is second to none always smiling and taking photos with fans at Target Field or where ever. He is one of Cami’s favorite autograph gets of all time when she got him on a ball at the 2014 All Star Fanfest. I have a ton of Tony O autographs but had some items laying around that needed his signature on them so when I saw that Jeff F (haleysdaddy0304 on SCN) was having a signing with him at a reasonable price, I jumped on it. I got the following items signed beautifully via Jeff’s signing:
June 1971 Baseball Digest
1970 Topps Super
1971 Topps Super
Topps Living Set #366
Topps Now Turn Back The Clock #91
1967 Topps Venezuelan #230
They are all really cool but I think my favorite of this batch is the Venezuelan card! Thanks for doing a fantastic job on these Jeff!
A Pair of HOFers and a Pitcher
Today was a fun day of mail! I received my signed book written by Rock n Roll Hall of Famer Stevie Van Zandt, “Unrequited Infactuations” that I ordered via Backstreets.com! Little Steven signed it “Miami Steve” which is an interesting choice but I enjoyed the Springsteen book so much I thought it would be cool to get this one. I look forward to reading it!
The other Hall of Famer I got today was Roberto Alomar. Jamie Blye, yet again, assisted in handling my stuff to get signed. Jamie always does a great job with my items. This time I got a Hall of Fame postcard that was stamped at the Cooperstown Post Office on Induction Day signed as well as the April 1992 Sports Illustrated for Kids issue. The SI for Kids was already signed by Sandy Alomar so it is cool to get it finished by the Alomar brothers!
The final thing I got today was my debut ticket signed by Domingo German. Domingo signed it in nice silver paint pen with “MLB Debut”. Lucky’s Sportscards had Domingo in for a signing at the end of the season.
