I saw a post by Charlie Siegel on Facebook with some cards available a week or so ago and noticed three Twins cards I needed. What is so great about these cards are that they are all players who are no longer on the Twins team so it is nice to get these knocked off. The cards I got are:
CJ Cron 2019 Topps Update US253
Martin Perez 2019 Topps Update US 222
Jhoulys Chacin 2020 Topps Update U-126

Scott N (2hotty on SCN) recently posted that his mom and dad were both in pretty bad shape health wise and was selling some cards to help them out. I noticed he had a pair of Max Kepler cards listed for sale. I needed both and bought them. The cards are:
Topps 2021 #11
Gypsy Queen 2020 #12
After receiving the cards, I send an additional donation his way to help him and his parents out. I received a really nice thank you from Scott which made me happy.
It Gets Through Buckner!
Today I received an addition to my 1986 World Series Game 7 ticket signed by Ray Knight I received a few days ago. I got a good deal on the Game 7 and Game 6 tickets but they were beat up pretty good. Jamie B (jamieblye on SCN) attended a signing that Mookie Wilson was signing at and I sent him my Game 6 ticket. I did not have this ticket when Bill Buckner was still alive otherwise I would have gotten it signed by both he and Mookie but since I got it after Bill sadly passed away, I wanted an inscription that would mark the pinnacle moment in that game. I requested an inscription of “It gets through Buckner” and Mookie included that. Those words were immortalized by the great Vin Scully calling the play that defined that Series. It looks great even though the ticket survived with what appears it being in someone’s pocket during the game.
Good Knight!
Today’s mail brought a full ticket from Game 7 of the 1986 World Series that I sent to have Ray Knight sign. I got a real good deal on 1986 World Series Game 6 and 7 tickets so I thought I would get them signed. They are in really rough shape though. Rough as in folded in someone’s pocket and beat up pretty good. I had Ray sign it with 1986 WS MVP. Chris R (rifon on SCN) hooked me up with the autograph and inscription and did a fine job with it!
