Today I received a card I bought from Chris B (GoYanks52 on SCN) that he got signed by Carl Pavano at the Hall of Fame Classic in Cooperstown, NY a few months ago. It is the 2011 Allen & Ginter card. It is signed in blue and looks fantastic.

Cobra Times Two
Today’s mail brought a pair of Sports Illustrated magazines signed by Dave Parker. I sent them to Mark C (psugator01 on SCN) for a private signing he was going to have with Dave. I already had the issue where he was swinging on the cover but had the issue with Jim Rice already signed by Rice and another unsigned one sitting at home so I sent them in. The cover signed by both looks sharp! Thanks Mark!
“That ball never came down!”
Today I received an awesome baseball from current Baltimore Orioles broadcaster Joe Angel. Mr Angel used to broadcast for the Twins and was behind the microphone when Dave Kingman hit the ball that got stuck in the Metrodome roof.
The kids and I went to the Twins game on May 4th which happened to be against the Orioles as well as the anniversary of Dave Kingman’s hit. On ethe way home, the Twins post game report on the radio played Mr Angel’s audio of his radio call of that moment. I emailed my favorite Twins employee asking him if there was a way I could get a copy of that call. He came through for me in minutes. THANK YOU PAL! I wrote my letter to Mr Angel with the call and received it back today. He did a great job on it. It goes with a Story Ball I have on that moment perfectly.
Getting the ball in the mail was a great way to kick off the weekend!
Win Twins!
Today I got an envelope with a few cards in it from my friend Jon S in Rochester, NY. Jon has gotten me a ton of Twins cards in the past and I love what he sends me.
Today it was a 2014 Topps Oswaldo Arcia, 2014 Topps Heritage Oswaldo Arcia and a 2014 Josmil Pinto card all signed beautifully. What was cool about the Pinto card is that it shows the players celebrating a Pinto walk off hit and in it is also Chris Colabello and Chris Herrmann who he got to signed the card too. It looks phenomenal. THANK YOU Jon!
