Today I received a baseball signed by CJ Wilson. It is a real nice baseball signed in blue ink on the sweetspot. I bought this from Josh M (ridiculousxdream on SCN). Thanks Josh!

Another Batch of Prospects
Today I received a nice batch of prospects who play/played in the Florida State League from my guy Paul C. If you are one of the regular readers (the few of you) you will recognize Paul’s name as he has gotten me a lot of future stars of late. With the MLB draft recently happening, a number of first round picks are being assigned to the FSL. I will be keeping Paul busy!
Here is a list of who I received today (inscriptions in parenthesis):
Angelo Gumbs
Andrew Heaney (2012 1st Round)
Ty Hensley (1st Round Pick 12)
Stephen Piscotty (God Bless)
Rob Refsnyder (CWS MVP 2012)
Gary Sanchez
Mason Williams
Thanks Paul!
Oh Balls!
Today I received a nice box of baseballs I purchased through Major League Alumni Marketing (MLAM). All the baseballs are MLB Authenticated and signed beautifully on the sweetspot. I am happy to add them to my collection… especially the Beltre!
Allen Craig
Jose Altuve
Nolan Arenado
Oscar Taveras
Travis D’Arnaud
Adrian Beltre
A Day of Sports Illustrated Magazines!
Today I received two packages and both had signed Sports Illustrated magazines in them.
The first was an issue from October 21, 1974 that I had recently received back signed from Steve Yeager. This time I got it back from Bill Buckner. It is now signed by everyone I can distinguish on the cover. All four players. Time to retire the issue unless someone can determine who the A’s player in the picture with Steve Yeager is and he is a decent signer.
My other package contained four issues I purchased from Kevin H (justcrazy on SCN). These were all obtained in person by him over the years. This group of four includes:
Jim “Catfish” Hunter- October 23, 1972
Lou Brock- July 22, 1974
Bump Wills- March 28, 1977
Jim Rice- April 9, 1979
Nice lot of three Hall of Famers and a son of a baseball legend (Maury Wills).
