Florida Baseball Autographs

While in Florida, we, as a family, went to three baseball games.  I drove to watch a fourth game when Amy and the kids and my nephew decided to go kayaking.  Over those four games we did not actively pursue autographs but if the opportunity came up, we did go for it.  I have purchased a pack of 25 baseball autograph cards that worked well for players I had no idea of or had nothing for.  I did bring along some Sports Illustrated magazines but they did not get out of my backpack even once.  I did manage to get a baseball signed by one player for me though and a pair of autographed cards for Cami while she got a pair of the cards signed herself.  Most of the time we showed up to the game just as first pitch was about to happen so there was not much of an opportunity for autographs.

We ended up getting the following autograph cards:
Aaron Barrett- 03.11.2015- Nationals
Tyler Moore- 03.11.2015- Nationals
Chris Stewart- 03.13.2015- Pirates
Steve Clevenger- 03.14.2015- Orioles

I got Dylan Bundy on a baseball at the Orioles game.

While we did not get many autographs, we had a great time seeing all the ballparks and watching a lot of baseball in the sun!

A Bill I was Happy To Get

Today’s mail brought a couple signed items I recently purchased.  The first was a Billy Terry signed baseball.  I was watching this baseball for about six months on eBay and did not see a nicer one listed in all that time.  I bought it from Richard Altman and it comes with a full JSA letter.
The other item that showed up was a John Roseboro 1969 Topps card I bought from littball99 on eBay.  This is a replacement for one that I had bought a while ago and did not feel it was legit.  That one ended up in the garbage and this beautiful one makes me feel better.

Lanny’s The Man(ny)!

Today I received part one of what will be a two part package from Lanny Frattare.  A couple weeks ago I read where you could buy a signed scorecard from the long time Pirates radio announcer and I checked out what was available and bought a few.  One was the 5,000th game Lanny broadcast for the Pirates.  I asked Lanny’s son David, who is helping his father sell them, to have Lanny add an inscription of 5,000th Game or something like that.  While communicating with David, I asked if Lanny would be willing to sign a baseball with a couple of his sayings and he said to send the ball to him.  Today I received the ball and a nice note from Lanny.  I am pretty excited about this one.  I cannot wait to receive the scorecards!  Watch for that post in the upcoming days!
