Awesome Eddie

Eddie Rosario was signing autographs today at the Cub Foods in Crystal.  It so happened that I was off work and heading to Caden’s state baseball tournament in Big Lake and it worked out that Crystal was on the way.  I picked up Caden’s friend Cayden at 11 am and headed to Cub Foods.  We got there about 25 minutes before he was supposed to start signing.  My family was at Eddie’s Major League debut and witnessed him hitting a home run on his first pitch.  It was awesome.  Before that though, Cami and I reserved a game used baseball from that game and knew we were going to get it signed at some point.  Today was that moment.  We got to him and I explained we were at the game and bought the two baseballs and requested an inscription on the ball.  He signed each of our baseballs with “1st Game MLB Debut 5/6/15”.  They look really cool.  Caden got a ticket from that game signed with “MLB Debut Home Run”.  Cayden got a couple cards signed for his collection.  Afterwards we got in the car and got to Big Lake in time to start warming up.  We ended up winning that game so it was a great day all around!

A Real Japanese Import

Today I received a baseball signed by Masanori Murakami that was signed via a private signing with Greg R (mookie41 on SCN).  Masanori was the first Japanese baseball player to play in the MLB.  He signed the ball with the following stats:
Japanese and English signatures
1st Japanese player in MLB
1964-65 SF Giants
5-1
9 saves
3.43 ERA
100 SO
It looks awesome and is a ball I never figured I would get in my collection.  It goes real well with my baseball signed by the first MLB player to play in Japan!

Iwakuma Doooma

Today I received a baseball signed by Hisashi Iwakuma of the Seattle Mariners.  My friend Greg N (justgreg on SCN) gets to a lot of Tacoma Rainiers baseball games and Iwakuma was rehabbing and got him to sign a baseball for me.  Iwakuma had a couple pretty good years the last couple but was beset by injuries this season.  He is back with the Mariners and is looking to keep up his success.  I hope he does well as I have him on my fantasy team!  Thanks, as always, Greg!

A Cy Young and Debut

Today I received a pair of items.  The first was a baseball signed by John Denny with 1983 NL Cy Young inscription.  I bought it from Greg W (gwbaseball on SCN) from a signing he had a number of years ago with Denny.  Denny is a pretty difficult signer so I am happy to get his autograph.

The other item I got was a ML Debut ticket for Archie Bradley I sent to Graham H (Graham31004 on SCN).  Archie signed it with “MLB Debut 4-11-15”.

A couple nice items received today!
