Chris is the MAN!

I have really whittled down the list of guys who I trust getting me signed items of late. Not only the trust but people who care of my stuff as I do. Chris L (ChrisL999 on SCN) is one of those few. I received a box of stuff from the balance of the season that he worked for me. The challenges he overcomes and the effort he puts in on getting these autographs is appreciated! Today’s box included the following BEAUTIFULLY signed items:
Josiah Gray blue ink sweetspot baseball
Yadiel Hernandez blue ink sweetspot baseball
Nico Hoerner blue ink sweetspot baseball
Tres Barrera blue ink sweetspot baseball
Jazz Chisholm blue ink sweetspot baseball
Nick Yorke blue ink sweetspot baseball
Keibert Ruiz blue ink sweetspot baseball
Gilberto Jimenez blue ink sweetspot baseball
Brendan Rodgers 1st hit ticket
Ryne Harper 2019 Topps US226

I also received a pair of cards that Haley H (r0yals2012 on SCN) got signed for me. I had sent Haley a pair of 2021 Topps Twins team cards #156 to get signed by Aaron Whitefield. Whitefield is one of the three players pictured on the card and plays for the Wichita Storm Surge. One card turned out beautifully but the other the marker died. I am fine with it since I got one good one and is one of the reasons I send a pair when I can. Now I have to get Eddie Rosario and Jake Cave on that card to finish it!

A Grate(rol) Mail Day!

Today’s mail brought in items from a couple recent private signings. I sent in a few items for a Brusdar Graterol signing shortly after the World Series. It was supposed to be in Los Angeles shortly after the season started. But, with COVID worries and Graterol going back and forth to the minors (rehab?) it was delayed until a couple weeks ago. Oneway77JC did a great job with my items. For the Graterol signing I picked up:
2 Debut tickets with “MLB Debut” and PSA Witness
2 Baseballs with PSA Witness
2020 Topps Heritage #74
2020 Gypsy Queen #246

The other item I received today was a Fernando Rodney debut ticket stub. Rodney made his debut against the Twins at the Metrodome when he played for the Tigers. I had a pair of tickets and got one signed at Twinsfest one year but he did not inscribe it with “ML Debut” even though it was asked. 5 Tool Signings had a signing with him and I sent in the other ticket. He signed it and did inscribe “ML Debut” (funny what a few extra bucks will get a person!). In fact, I received a message from the person conducting the signing with him that he thought that ticket was pretty cool.

WOW! Fun times!

After spending three days in New York City I came home to a lot of fun mail! I don’t get many bills by mail anymore as they are mostly electronically delivered so most of the mail I get is fun stuff. Going through my items I was really pleased with how everything turned out. The mail included:
03.05.2001 Nomar Garciaparra Sports Illustrated
Baseball signed by Nomar along with “1997 AL ROY”
08.25.1980 Al Bumbry Sports Illustrated (already signed by Fred Stanley)
1992 World Series Game 4 ticket stub signed by Tom Henke with “5th Postseason Save”
Baseball signed by Len Kasper with “Field of Dreams Game Tim Anderson Walkoff 8/12/2021”. I had requested Len to write his walkoff call but just got this.
I love mail days like this! 🙂

Not Petty In The Least

Today I received a couple items that made me smile. The first was a baseball I bought from Doug Tracy from Authentic Autographs of Southwest Florida that was signed by Chase Petty. Chase included “2021 1st Rd Pick” on it too!
The other item was something I have been trying to track down for a while. Fred Manrique played a short time for the Twins. I had a single hole in my 1990 living player needs and with the 66T card showing up today, I am down to needing just Kirby Puckett to complete the Twins team set. PastPros met up with Manrique and got him to sign some cards and listed them for sale on their website. I was pretty excited when I saw this one listed for sale!
