Justin Time

Justin Morneau is one of my favorite Twins players. He and Joe Mauer combined for the M & M Boys during my season ticket hey day. Fan HQ had a private signing with Justin and I sent in a few items. Fan HQ does an amazing job on everything that I have ever sent in to them for their signings. This was no exception. I got the following items signed PERFECTLY:
Final Metrodome Season Opener Ticket (already signed by Kent Hrbek and Gary Gaetti and now complete)
07.06.2007 Twins @ White Sox ticket with inscriptions “3 HR’s” and “100-102”
2024 Topps Heritage #203

Not A Basket Weaver

Jeff Weaver was a pitcher who pitched for a few teams but appeared on the cover of a Sports Illustrated magazine only once. He posed with four other pitchers as well as George Steinbrenner on the cover of the 03.31.2003 issue. I had it signed previously by Clemens, Mussina, and Contreras so it was a no brainer to send it in to have Weaver sign it. Nick C (ncc500 on SCN) was having a private signing with him so I sent it to him and today received it back signed beautifully! Now I just need Andy Pettitte and it will be as complete as it can be.
Also received today was my Kent Hrbek ticket stub from when the team retired his #14. I asked for “Retired #14” but he only signed his name. Oh well. Not surprised.

Just the Ticket!

I met Ben W years ago at Twinsfest. We did a couple trades if memory serves me right over the years. Ben moved to England recently and reached out that he was planning on selling his collection and wanted to see if I was interested in anything. I went through his list and picked some out. He still had a couple of the tickets at his parents’ home in the Twin Cities and some with him in England. Today I received three of my purchase that were from his parents. Today’s part included:
Brian Cashman GM Debut
Adam Wainwright MLB Debut
Terry Francona Managerial Debut that was signed
I love these and look forward to the package coming from England with the second part of the purchase!

Almost Perfect

After attending the HOF induction last summer, the family went to a Tigers game at Comerica Park. While there, the Authentics kiosk had tickets for sale. They were $10 each and in envelopes so I bought three of them. Two were clunkers but the third was from Armando Galarraga’s game when he was perfect for 8.2 innings and would have had a perfect game but the umpire missed the call at first base calling the runner safe in error. I saw that Donnie D (macy225 on SCN) was attending a show where Armando was signing so I sent in that ticket. Today I received it signed and inscribed with “Almost Perfect”. It is a pretty cool ticket for the collection!
