A Double Triple

Today’s mail brought a pair of completed Triple Play tickets. Guy P (gpuglia on SCN) had a signing with both Kent Hrbek and Al Newman and both were parts of a couple triple plays including the only time in baseball history a team turned a pair of triple plays in the same game! Both signed my 07.17.1990 Red Sox ticket that Gary Gaetti already signed with “2 Triple Plays” to complete that one. The other was from 04.05.1988 that was already signed by Gary Gaetti and Steve Lombardozzi and that needed just Kent Hrbek to complete the three players involved in the triple play that game. A nice job by all involved!

Hip Hip Jose!

FanHQ had a signing with Jose Miranda today. I had acquired some tickets to his ML Debut game and had a few Topps Now cards so I decided to purchase tickets for his autograph and inscriptions and make the almost hour drive to the FanHQ store for the signing tonight. There were not many people at the event and I got there about a half hour before he was supposed to start signing. When I got to the table is was cool because Shaun, the owner of FanHQ, told Jose I liked to collect milestone tickets and spoke briefly of a focus of my collection. Jose then signed three tickets for me as well as three Topps Now cards. They turned out great. Shaun and his crew do a fantastic job on events like this. I could not be more pleased with how everything turned out.

Sosa Good

Bill M (nosamm on SCN) had Edmundo Sosa in for a signing event. I found out about it just before the mail deadline so even sending priority mail they arrived the morning of the event. I mailed a pair of tickets from his MLB Debut that my buddy in St Louis attended and sent me his tickets for my collection. I received them signed perfectly with MLB Debut today. They look awesome!
