Today I received a pair of Sports Illustrated magazines I sent in to a signing event through the Sports Vault in Pennsylvania on June 7th. I sent in two issues with one already signed by Carlos Ruiz and received them back signed beautifully in blue Sharpie as requested.

A World Series MVP!
Today I received a Sports Illustrated signed by the 2006 World Series MVP David Eckstein. David was at the Cooperstown Classic and Jamie B (jamieblye on SCN) got it signed for me. It is an awesome cover of his cheering the final out of the World Series. Jamie also got him to sign “06 WS MVP” on it. It looks perfect!
SI Day!
Today was a great day for my Sports Illustrated collection. I received two packages that had SI’s in them. The first was my 2012 issue that featured three Baltimore Orioles on the cover. It was signed by Adam Jones and Nick Markakis already and just needed Endy Chavez. My friend Greg N (justgreg on SCN) was able to get him to finish it off as Endy is now playing for the Tacoma Rainiers (Greg’s home team). Greg was awesome and got it signed a day or two after he got it. One of the fastest turnaround times ever! THANK YOU for everything Greg!
The next package contained a pair of the same issue that Sergio Romo signed for me. J Carr (graphmanj on SCN) was involved in a signing via LOJO Sports and got the pair of 2012 issues signed by Sergio for me.
A Post Season Hero
Today I received a package with two Sports Illustrated magazines that I had sent to Jordan B (royalsFan19 on SCN) to get them signed by Joe Carter. The one was already signed by Jack Morris and Jimmy Key and the other was a Canada SI Issue. Jordan did a great job and I am happy with the items. Thanks Jordan!
