Today I received a pair of Sports Illustrated magazines I sent to Jordan B (royalsFan19 on SCN) to get signed by Grady Sizemore. Jordan went to Arizona for Spring Training and was able to get them both signed. It is a tougher issue to get signed as I don’t think Grady likes to sign. I am pleased and happy to add them to the collection! Thanks Jordan!

Altuveeeeeey
Today I received an SI I bought from Eric K (ekendall on SCN) that was signed by Jose Altuve. It is the March 28, 2016 issue and looks great.
The Big Unit and Wood
Now that I have your attention with that crazy title, I have to say I am pretty excited about what came in today’s mail. First, I had sent a Craig Sager First Pitch insert card from the Topps Update series. Craig has been battling cancer and it arrived today signed beautifully. I wish him well in his fight.
Next was two packages from Tom Orr that he got signed at the recent Chicago Sun Times show. The first box had my 3,000 K baseball. I had all the living players who got 3,000 strikeouts except for Randy Johnson. Tom got Randy to sign the baseball with his 4875 K total. It looks awesome.
The other package from Tom had a pair of Sports Illustrated magazines in it. The first was the issue from 07.07.2003 that Kerry Wood signed. I just need Mark Prior to finish it. Also in this package was my 1980 US Olympic Hockey team signed SI. I had all the hockey players on it except for Mark Pavlich. Tom got Mark to sign it and it is now complete. I was nervous of the Olympic SI and the baseball being shipped but Tom and the USPS came through!
The Straw That Stirred The Drink
Today I received three magazines that my friend Ryan A got me at the recent Sun Times show in Chicago. Ryan is awesome and has helped me out many times in the past and has done a great job. The items I received today are:
07.11.1988 Sports Illustrated signed by Darryl Strawberry
02.27.1995 Sports Illustrated signed by Darryl Strawberry (completing the cover with Dwight Gooden)
1969 Home Run magazine signed by Lou Brock (completing the cover with Pete Rose)
Thanks a ton Ryan!
