Today I received a baseball signed by Masanori Murakami that was signed via a private signing with Greg R (mookie41 on SCN). Masanori was the first Japanese baseball player to play in the MLB. He signed the ball with the following stats:
Japanese and English signatures
1st Japanese player in MLB
1964-65 SF Giants
5-1
9 saves
3.43 ERA
100 SO
It looks awesome and is a ball I never figured I would get in my collection. It goes real well with my baseball signed by the first MLB player to play in Japan!

Dal To The Max(vill)
Today I received my 1968 Sports Illustrated magazine signed by Dal Maxvill. He is the last living person on the cover so I can now retire it. Lezcano D (deano on SCN) got it signed for me at a recent signing event in St Louis. Lezcano is a real friend of collectors as he is willing to take care of other collectors by getting autographs for the local shows for people. My SI now has Tim McCarver, Bob Gibson, Mike Shannon, Lou Brock, Orlando Cepeda, Julian Javier, Dal Maxvill, and Red Schoendienst. It looks great! Thanks Lezcano for your help!
Kitty Kaat
Today I received a 1963 Topps AL Strikeout Leaders card with Jim Kaat’s signature added to it. It already had Camilo Pascual’s autograph on it and waited for Kitty to show up at a show or private signing to get him to sign it. Tom O (orr23mj on SCN) had a private signing with him and I sent it in for that. It turned out great.
A Weekend at Bernie’s
Today I received my October 19, 1970 Sports Illustrated magazine that I had sent to Doug Keating’s signing event with Bernie Carbo. I now have five autographs on this issue and need just one more. He is probably the easiest of all of them too! Boog Powell.
Doug had it signed perfectly right where I wanted it. It looks great! Thanks Doug!
