The Rocket

Today I received a pair of items I had sent in to Chris D (cpdinc on SCN) for his private signing with Roger Clemens.  I sent in my 03.31.2003 Sports Illustrated that was already signed by Mike Mussina and Jose Contreras and Chris got Roger to sign it perfectly.  I also sent in my 300 win baseball that already had six signatures on it and Roger signed that perfectly with a “354 W” inscription.  It too looks great!  Chris did a great job on these items at a very fair price.  Thanks Chris!!!

Dansby Don

Today I received a couple items to add to the collection.  The first was a baseball signed by Don Denkinger with an inscription of “Orta was out!” referencing his call in the 1985 World Series.  I bought this from deano (Lezcano D on SCN).
The other package was a signed ticket from Dansby Swanson’s ML Debut game.  Brian B (bandro on SCN) had a signing with Dansby and got it signed for me with the inscription.

The Big Unit and Wood

Now that I have your attention with that crazy title, I have to say I am pretty excited about what came in today’s mail.  First, I had sent a Craig Sager First Pitch insert card from the Topps Update series.  Craig has been battling cancer and it arrived today signed beautifully.  I wish him well in his fight.
Next was two packages from Tom Orr that he got signed at the recent Chicago Sun Times show.  The first box had my 3,000 K baseball.  I had all the living players who got 3,000 strikeouts except for Randy Johnson.  Tom got Randy to sign the baseball with his 4875 K total.  It looks awesome.
The other package from Tom had a pair of Sports Illustrated magazines in it.  The first was the issue from 07.07.2003 that Kerry Wood signed.  I just need Mark Prior to finish it.  Also in this package was my 1980 US Olympic Hockey team signed SI.  I had all the hockey players on it except for Mark Pavlich.  Tom got Mark to sign it and it is now complete.  I was nervous of the Olympic SI and the baseball being shipped but Tom and the USPS came through!
