It has been a while since I received a return on some autograph items. I have a half dozen that should be rolling in soon but today I received a nice trio of items signed by Jim Palmer. I had sent him a real nice “donation” and received back the following:
Hall of Fame postcard (I cannot believe I did not already have one!)
10/1970 Baseball Digest
02/1976 Baseball Digest
All three look great! I am very pleased to receive these items from the Hall of Fame pitcher!

Posting Up
A couple weeks ago I saw a person on Facebook selling some Hall of Fame postcards. I was going to send to Mike Mussina and recently sent to Ryne Sandberg but what caught by eye on this post was that these postcards were cancelled at the Cooperstown Post Office induction weekend. Jeremy Dresdner was selling some nice postcards and I bought the following:
Ryne Sandberg (cancelled)
Mike Mussina (cancelled)
Whitey Herzog (cancelled)
Ozzie Smith
These are nice additions to the collection!
Ryno!
If you read my posts of late, you may remember I recently purchased some Hall of Fame Induction ceremony press tickets from a recently retired sports writer. Today’s mail brought in the 2005 ticket signed by Ryne Sandberg. I also sent a Hall of Fame postcard that Ryno signed. I couple cool items for the collection!
HOF Postcards
I recently saw a post on a Facebook autograph collecting group where David McNaughton listed a bunch of Hall of Fame postcards he had available. I have dabbled in these postcards for a while but thought it might be a good time to jump in on these and pick up a bunch of older ones I needed. I ended up working out a deal for the following:
Earl Averill
James “Cool Papa” Bell
Stan Coveleski (red Dexter)
Joe Cronin
Bill Dickey
Charles Gehringer
Burleigh Grimes
Jim “Catfish” Hunter
Waite Hoyt (blue Dexter)
Judy Johnson
Buck Leonard
Freddie Lindstom
Rube Marquard
Pee Wee Reese
Edd Roush (red Dexter)
Lloyd Waner
This put a nice dent in my needs!
