About a month ago I received a Baseball Digest signed by Andre Dawson. The Hawk was on a pair of covers and at the time I only had the one issue. I quickly tracked down the other issue and sent it to Dawson. Today I received the January, 1988 issue signed by Andre. He has one of the prettiest signatures in the hobby today. I am done with him until I find something else to collect that he is a part of!

No Bogged Down
The mail today included a 3,000th hit commemorative card and the February, 1984 Baseball Digest signed by Wade Boggs. He has always been a great signer for a fair donation. I think there are about three other Baseball Digest magazines that he is on the cover of that I have to track down. He included HOF 05 on the magazine!
The Hawk
Andre Dawson comes through again! I finally found a newsstand issue of the May, 1984 Baseball Digest magazine that features Andre Dawson on the cover and sent it off to him. I received it back today! I am still looking for the other Baseball Digest issue with The Hawk on the cover in a newsstand variety. Hopefully I will find that one soon! Stay tuned!
The Express Part II
After a little nervousness on when this baseball would show up, it arrived today. Today is MLK Jr Day and there is no mail but our delivery person brought my signature confirmation package and I could not be more relieved or excited about it! As previously mentioned, I sent a ticket and baseball to the Nolan Ryan Foundation and the ticket showed up a few days ago but the baseball had yet to arrive. The ball is a 300 Win baseball. Nolan was the last living person I needed on the ball. He is the eleventh person to sign it and each person wrote their career win total. It is a pretty special baseball as I do not believe there will be another 300 win pitcher in a long time if ever. The game has changed so much with pitch counts, analytics (don’t go through the order a third time!) and five man rotations that I do not see another player being added to this baseball. It, just like my ticket, was signed beautifully. As I stated in my other post, the Nolan Ryan Foundation does an amazing job on autographs! I could not be happier!
