Robbie & Todd

I purchased a couple baseballs recently and received them today.  Both were done with tremendous service and the balls look perfect!

The first was a TriStar certified Roberto Alomar ball with HOF 2011 that I purchased from Mill Creek Sports.  I have bought from them before and have always been pleased.

The other ball was for Todd Frazier of the Cincinnati Reds.  He does not sign on the sweetspots except during signings.  I found that Richard Altman at Hollywood Collectibles was doing a private signing with him.  I realized it too close to the date of the event so I called and requested one of their baseballs.  Their service is top notch and the ball is beautiful.

The Big Hurt and Jamey

Today I received a couple items and am thrilled with them.

The first package I opened contained a beautiful Frank Thomas autographed baseball with his two MVP years inscribed. The Big Hurt always hammered on the Twins including hitting his 500th career home run against them. I had a ball signed by him but it was not of great quality. This one is awesome. I purchased this from Isaias F (franco858 on SCN).

The other item was an sase I sent to Jamey Carroll at Target Field.  He signed one of the two I sent but picked the one I really wanted, the 2013 Topps Heritage.

I am looking forward to another great mail day like this soon!

The Chair Off Our Back

Back in early June the Twins replaced all the seat backs in the Legends Club from wood to plastic.  When they did, they sent letters to Legend Club season ticket holders that they would be able to get a set of backs for each account holder.  I was stoked when I got that letter!  Today I finally had a chance to pick up my seat back.  It is signed by Kent Hrbek and Tony Oliva.  This is my second piece of something from Target Field.  The first was some dirt from the warning track.

The Killer Revisited

Today I received a Harmon Killebrew card I purchased on eBay.  This is the 1967 Twin Terrors card.  My friend Steve gave me one that was signed by Bob Allison after Harmon announced he was ill.  I could not bring myself to send it to him to finish it while he was fighting his illness so I left it as it was.  I added a Killebrew version and now I have two cards with each signed by each person.  I would have preferred one signed by both but I would have thought about how I sent it to the classiest person on Earth when he was living his last days every time I looked at it.  I am happy with what I have.
