A Couple Former Twins

Today I received a couple packages with cards I needed for my Twins card sets.  The first was a 2012 Allen & Ginter Ben Revere card.  I got this card signed via a private signing at Carl’s Cards and Collectibles in Havertown, PA.  The other was a package with a couple Kevin Slowey cards.  Marc M (mesarosfamily on SCN) got these signed during Spring Training and we traded for a couple 1974 cards.

Great Scott!

Today I received a package from my friend Jon (Scott) and his son Tyler from Rochester, NY.  Jon and Tyler work the Red Wings and since most of the Twins players have been bouncing between there and Minneapolis, he has hooked me up with a lot of autographs for my Topps Twins collection. Today’s package included:
Cole DeVries 2013 Topps
Scott Diamond 2013 Topps
Liam Hendriks 2013 Topps
Chris Herrmann 2013 Topps
Chris Parmelee 2013 Topps
Aaron Hicks 2011 Topps Heritage Minor League
Nick Blackburn eTopps
Jon and Tyler do awesome work and they really take care of me.  Thanks guys!

Recently I was digging around my stuff and came across a couple postcards of Bobby Doerr that I sent to him.  I received those two back today as well.  One is an exhibit card and the other is the Perez Steele card.  Always nice to get a hall of famer!

“Bang Zoom Goes Harper!”

One of my most favorite parts of my baseball collection is my Call Ball Collection.  Today I received a really cool one from Charlie Slowes.  Charlie is a broadcaster for the Washington Nationals and recently called Bryce Harper’s first career walk off home run.  Not only did Charlie sign the baseball really really cool with his call, he also sent a note along hoping the ball was the way I wanted it.  Well Charlie, you hit a home run with it… just like Bryce!  THANKS Charlie!
