Minions!

Today I did not get anything in the mail but Cami did!  Well, I did receive the Bruce Springsteen’s The Ties that Bind box set but it was not signed.  Cami got the coolest mail today.
About ten months or so ago, Cami mailed a couple “Artists Cards” to Chris Renaud.  Chris is an animator in the Dispicable Me/Minions franchise.  If you know Cami, her all time favorite characters are minions.  Her nickname for student council is even Minion!  Chris graciously drew two minions and signed her cards.  When she opened them she just stared at them.  She was so excited.  Chris really made her day and me envious!  I tried to offer something to Cami in trade for one of them but she was having NONE of that!

The Ryan Express!

Today’s mail brought a box of four magazines from the Nolan Ryan Foundation.  If you want a Nolan Ryan autograph, they do an AMAZING job taking care of your stuff and getting it back to you, etc.  They are a first rate operation when it comes to autographs.  Nolan visits the place to sign autographs a couple times a year so your wait could be as long as six months but it is worth the wait.
Since I already have all his Sports Illustrated magazines signed, I decided to get some other “odd ball” type magazines.  Today I received:
1974 Baseball Illustrated
06.16.1975 Newsweek
1977 Baseball Illustrated
04.30.1980 Inside Sports
All were signed in the perfect location in perfect blue Sharpie and included a NRF hologram.

I’m Dreaming of a (Rondell) White Christmas!

Today I received three cards signed by Rondell White. Rondell has been an elusive signer for me. I tried two other consignments before Mark C (psugator01 on SCN) came through for me. Mark got Rondell to sign the following cards for me:
2006 Topps 576
2006 Topps 647 (already signed by Lew Ford)
2007 Topps 543
I now can close the book on my Rondell White needs! Thanks Mark!

Redsfest

Today I received a box with a couple items I had sent to Matt P (mpgobrowns on SCN) to get signed at Redsfest.  He did a great job!  Matt got a baseball signed by Devin Mesoraco and two tickets signed by Rasiel Iglesias.  Both tickets were from his ML Debut.  He signed one with MLB Debut and the other with just MLB before his handler said no inscriptions.  They look great.  Thanks Matt!
