Hey Cami!

Today Cami received a pretty neat autograph.  A month or two ago she sent an artist card to Nathan Greno and received it today. He drew a sketch of Rapunzel with Pascal on her shoulder.  It looks really neat and I am envious of it!  If that was not cool enough, he drew a picture of Mickey Mouse on the back saying “Hi Cami!” in a cartoon bubble.  Cami was so excited and loves that Nathan took the time to do that for her.

ARF, ARF!

Today I received a pair of autographs from Tony LaRussa that I had sent to him with a donation to ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation).  Mr LaRussa signed my baseball with H/F 2014 as well as my postcard.  ARF is near and dear to Tony so we both win in this deal!  These are real nice additions to my collection.  The person who handles the mail and requests like mine, Kathleen, included a note that she did not want the postcard to get bent so she used the larger box instead of the SASE I provided.  I thought that was a classy move.  I will be reimbursing ARF for the postage.  If not, it would kind of defeat the purpose of the original donation!  Thanks Tony and thank you Kathleen!

An Old HOFer and a New HOFer!

Today’s mail brought a pair of real nice autographs.  The first was a baseball I sent to Jim Bunning and requested a few career stats.  He signed it and included just HOF but it looks great.  The other package was a Sports Illustrated magazine I bought from Kathleen S (bagsfan52 on SCN) that is a GORGEOUS PSA certified Ken Griffey Jr magazine from 06.06.1994.  That is an awesome addition the the SI collection!

He Caught JFK

Today I received a baseball signed by Marty Kutyna.  I had requested him to write a story about catching the 1962 Opening Day first pitch from JFK but it looked like he may have had a little trouble writing on the baseball and signed it with a couple unrelated inscriptions. It appears he wrote it in pencil first so he would not mess it up.  I appreciate him taking his time to have a nice baseball for me.  I received that today as well as an envelope that he paid for with his own money that had a bunch of items from his career including a real nice large photo of JFK signing his baseball.  He included three signed items personalized to me.  I also got a dvd on Mickey Vernon that he included in my baseball package.  All in all a real nice return!  Thanks Marty!
