Double Your Fun!

Today I received a pair of packages with some nice autographed items in them.

The first was a Sports Illustrated magazine I bought from Steiner Sports when they ran a recent sale on them.  I picked up a MLB certified, no label, 07.17.2000 issue of Jason Giambi.  It was a real nice issue.

The other package was the second half of items that Kent B (doggle3 on SCN) got for me in spring training in Arizona.  This box had the following:
Tommy Lasorda 03.14.1977 Sports Illustrated
Brett Lawrie 1st Career HR ticket
Yangervis Solarte ML Debut ticket
Will Middlebrooks ML Debut ticket with “MLB Debut”
Andrew Cashner ML Debut ticket with “MLB Debut”
Kent does an amazing job in spring training and throughout the season!

Joltin’ Joe

No, not THAT Joltin’ Joe but one of my favorite Joe’s in baseball, Joe Mauer.  Today I received a pair of Joe Mauer cards that my friend Paul C got signed during spring training this year.  He got:
2012 Topps #535
2006 Topps All Star #UH271
I have another package of baseballs coming from Paul shortly.  Thanks for all your work Paul!

Not A Bor(as)ing Package!

Today I received a baseball from Christian B (hheroes10 on SCN) who recently got back from Arizona after a week there.  He was unable to get any of the items I sent to him signed but did sell me some baseballs he got signed this spring and previous springs by other players.  The balls I got today are:
Clint Frazier w/”Indians #1 Pick”
Chris Sale
Jedd Gyorko
Leonys Martin
Raisel Iglesias
Scott Boras
While I am not a fan of Scott Boras’ tactics when negotiating for his clients, I do think he, much like Dr Frank Jobe and Dr James Andrews, have an amazing influence on the game.
It was a real nice box of baseballs!
