Sir Rodney Part I

Today I received the first of a pair of packages that Isaias F (franco858 on SCN) sent me that has the items I got signed via his private signing with Rod Carew. Rod is not doing too well these days health-wise and was very limited for signing at Twinsfest this past January so when I heard Franco was having a signing with him, I sent all the magazines and items I had for him to get signed.
This box contained:
1970 Famous Slugger Yearbook
07.01.1974 Sports Illustrated
Sports All Stars 1976 Baseball
Oct 1977 Sport
Spring 1978 Baseball Quarterly
Summer 1978 Sports Hall of Fame Baseball
Aug 1979 Sport
These all turned out awesome. One of my favorite magazines is the Basbeall Quarterly. I remember my mom buying this magazine for me when I was eight years old and I read it so many times I wore it out. Somewhere along the lines it got tossed. I found a mint one on eBay for this signing.
I am very pleased with how everything turned out. I cannot wait to get my other package within the next couple days.
Thanks Franco!

Damn Yankees

For the past couple years, Joshua S (jslaw on SCN) has attended the Yankees Spring Luncheon autograph event that the team holds to raise money for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Tampa.  This year was no exception.  This year Joshua was able to get me the following items:
Alex Rodriguez 09.25.20016 Sports Illustrated
Alex Rodriguez 3000th Hit ticket with “3,000 Hits”
Mark Teixeira Cycle ticket with “Cycle”
Dellin Betances ML Debut ticket
2015 Topps Aaron Hicks #457
As always, Joshua did a fantastic job with my items.  I am really excited about the 3000th hit ticket A Rod signed!  Thanks always Joshua!

That’s The Ticket!

Today I received a pair of autographed tickets from Christian B (hheroes10 on SCN) that he got signed for me during his spring training trip to Arizona.  He got me a 2014 All Star Game ticket strip signed by Joey Gallo with MVP on the Futures Game ticket.  The other ticket he got signed for me was Francisco Lindor.  Instead of inscribing MLB Debut he inscribed MLB Dayview.  It is the second such MLB Dayview ticket I have in my collection (Marcel Ozuna is the other).  It is quit interesting!  Thanks Christian!
