A couple weeks ago I sent an email to the 2013 JG Taylor Spink award winner Paul Hagen asking if I could send him a baseball to sign for my collection. Within a couple hours he replied that he would be flattered to sign a baseball for me. Today I received the ball back signed exactly as I desired it! Thank you Paul!

He didn’t Butcher the cards!
Today’s mail brought an envelope I mailed back on March, 21, 2009 to John Butcher. Yes, that is 1,407 days if you are keeping track! He returned four signed cards! Woo hoo! Just shows you to never give up on a request!
Gonzo!
Today was a bittersweet day. Great because it was Caden’s 11th birthday but sad because baseball lost two of its best: Stan “The Man” Musial and Earl Weaver.
Today’s mail was great too! I received a Call Ball from the Arizona Diamondback’s radio broadcaster from the 2001 World Series, Greg Schulte. He wrote his call from Game 7 when Luis Gonzalez got the game winning hit to win the World Series. Mr Schulte commented on the letter I sent that that was the most writing he had ever done on a baseball and that he hopes he did ok. Greg, you did awesome!
Merry Christmas To Me!
Actually, Merry Christmas to everyone (all two of you who reads this)!
Today’s mail brought an MVP and a 30 Game Winner! First, Jamie B (jamieblye on SCN) attended a fundraiser for a local Michigan Food Shelf where Denny McLain was signing autographs for donations. I sent him a pair of Sports Illustrated magazines and he got one signed for me!
The other package was awesome. This past summer Josh Hamilton was on the cover of a Sports Illustrated magazine so I sent it off to him. I received it just in time to be my Christmas present from him. Josh is one of the best signers in the game for as good of a player he is. Thanks Josh!
