Pags!

Today I received a few items I sent to Doug Keating (4192hits on SCN and from www.cardboardpromotions.com) to have signed by Mike Pagliarulo.  Pags played on the 1991 Twins World Championship team and I wanted to add him to my 1991 Sports Illustrated.  While I was sending that in, I included all of Pags’ Topps Twins cards and the 1991 10 Year Anniversary set card.  I already had those signed but for the price thought I would get another of each.  They turned out great!  I could not be happier on how well my SI turned out.  Doug does an awesome job.

I’m Dreaming of a (Rondell) White Christmas!

Today I received three cards signed by Rondell White. Rondell has been an elusive signer for me. I tried two other consignments before Mark C (psugator01 on SCN) came through for me. Mark got Rondell to sign the following cards for me:
2006 Topps 576
2006 Topps 647 (already signed by Lew Ford)
2007 Topps 543
I now can close the book on my Rondell White needs! Thanks Mark!

Jo Man

Today I received a 2001 Topps Twins team card #768 that I purchased from Jonathan M (dabulls on SCN).  It was signed by Johan Santana, JC Romero, Kyle Lohse, and one other I could not determine.  I was in it for Johan.  Since it is a glossy card, I was easily able to remove the other three autographs.  This left me with a real nice Johan Santana signed team card for a $3 purchase!  Not bad!

And you are…

Today I received a card I purchased from Stan P (stanesq on SCN).  It was a 1997 Topps Chuck Knoblauch.  Chuck has gone into hiding for the most part in recent years and if he does do a show it is a private signing with exorbitant prices. This card was signed beautifully by Chuck in blue Sharpie.  It brought me back to the old bit on the KQ Morning Show when Check was interviewed.  It went something like this:
Interviewer:  “And you are…”
Chuck:  “Chuck Knoblauch!”
Interviewer:  “Chuck Knoblauch…  Can’t thank you enough for all the time!”
That was the entire interview.  Pretty funny.
