Today was one of the more interesting in person autograph events in a while. We are on a family vacation to Rapid City, SD and while at Mt Rushmore today, we noticed Nick Clifford was there signing and selling his book about when he worked on Mt Rushmore at the gift shop. Earlier today the kids purchased a Passport to National Parks and will try to get to as many of the parks as they can over their lifetime. I thought it would be cool to have Mr Clifford sign the area where it was stamped with the date and logo. Both kids decided to do that and we bought a book from him. One of the more interesting autographs that is for sure!

Yet Another Kids’ Day Autograph Session
The kids’ autograph session today was Darin Mastroianni and Liam Hendriks. Since Cami wanted both autographs, I was just along for the ride. I did tell Cami though that she should say “Thanks mate!” to Liam because he is an Aussie. Darin signed her baseball first and then she handed it to Liam. I had not paid any attention to who Cami had on her ball but apparently she already had Liam on it. When she handed it to Liam he said “Looks like I already marked this one up!” in his Australian accent. Cami went “Oh! Thanks mate!” which had the security guy standing next to him and Liam himself laughing. It was pretty funny.
Another Kids’ Day Autograph Session
Today’s kids’ autograph session has Jeff Manship and Scott Diamond signing. When Cami and I got to the ballpark we went to get in line and I was nearly tackled by Rick who was there with Nick, Abby and Tami waiting in line. We stayed in line with them so we could chat to kill the time. I tried to talk Cami in to getting a 2012 Topps Heritage team card signed by them but she wanted her ball signed. Tami volunteered Abby to get it signed for me since she did not want anything signed. Abby was nice enough to get my card signed by both players. Thanks Abby! Cami got her team ball signed too.
Kids Day at Target Field
Every Sunday is Kid’s Day at Target Field. The Twins have two players available to sign autographed before the game and then the kids can run the bases after. Cami loves going on Sundays to get autographs. Today Cami and I went to the game. The two players signing autographs were Jared Burton and Kyle Waldrop.

I brought a new baseball for Cami to start her 2012 Twins ball after she filled up one each of the last two years. I asked if she would be willing to get me Kyle Waldrop on a baseball card that I needed and I would buy her whatever food she wanted. She said deal! She got Burton as the first autograph on her 2012 Twins baseball and the 2012 Topps Heritage card with a couple other Twins on it signed. Cool stuff! While waiting in line, Rick and Tami and Nick and Abbey met up with us and Nick went through the line too. It was cool seeing those guys. What did Cami want for food? Turns out she wanted a meatball and the nachos in a helmet. It was the second meatball we got this season and it was as good as the first. The nachos are her most favorite food at Target Field and I must admit, they were pretty darn good!
