‘Nother Cub

I am getting to the point where my 2016 Cubs Champion Sports Illustrated will be next to impossible to add any more autographs to it. Not because of space but because of the availability of the other signers. I think the only one left that is reasonably easy to obtain will be Pedro Strop (poor guy has the barcode over half his picture) but for now, I just added Addison Russell to it.

Jeremy F (jeremymichael on SCN) had a signing with Russell and I sent it in along with a debut ticket. Both were signed perfectly and the ticket also included MLB Debut.

Cardinals Winter Warmup

I received a couple of real fun tickets that Derrick B (dlbiri1s on SCN) got signed for me at the Cardinals Winter Warmup. The Pirates are one of the few teams who will print and send you tickets purchased via their ticket phone line. When I heard Nolan Gorman and Matthew Liberatore were making their Major League Debuts this summer, I called and ordered tickets to each game. Today I received a pair of each signed. Derrick got both to add MLB Debut on each as well. They look great and are great additions to my collection!

Poppen It!

Sean Poppen pitched for the Twins just a short time. He did pitch long enough for Topps to recognize him and put him on a 2020 Update card. AutographDen on eBay, who is also ColeL33 on SCN, listed one that they acquired from a long time in person collector. I was excited to pick it up at a small price for the collection. There was one other person bidding on it but I prevailed in the end!

Not Groaty To The Max

Dick Groat was a top player in the 1960’s and appeared on a number of magazine covers. I received a pair of them signed today. I sent Dick a “Complete 1961 Baseball” magazine and a “1961 True Baseball Yearbook” in hopes he would sign them. He did. In fact, he signed one of them twice!
