Today I received my 04.04.1988 Sports Illustrated magazine that was already signed by Will Clark but now is also signed by Mark McGwire. Tom O (orr23mj on SCN) had a private signing with Big Mac and I sent in this issue to finish it off. It looks great! Tom always does a fantastic job with my stuff.

A Faust Class Lady
Today I received a really neat reply to a sent baseball request. Nancy Faust, who was the organist for the Chicago White Sox signed my baseball and included a really nice note and a couple signed cards of herself. While looking up something a month or so ago, I came across an article about her and was impressed with how she progressed in-game entertainment at a baseball game. Check out her Wikipedia entry here. She signed the baseball with “White Sox Organist”. I hope to get a baseball signed by the Twins organist next. I have a card signed by Sue Nelson but not a baseball… yet.
My other package received was from Brett Bashinger via DEB Sports for a signing he had with former Twin Jack Savage. I had both Savage Twins cards signed but he is so tough and my cards were signed in black, I sent in a few cards. I got both his 1990 and 1991 Topps cards signed along with both Tiffany versions and the 1991 Desert Storm version. They turned out great!
Memories Of Kirby
Today I received a baseball from Mike Trombley asking him to write his favorite memory of Kirby Puckett on a ball. I got a reply that is pretty funny. Mike talks about getting his first paycheck as a MLB player and Puck’s reaction. Good stuff!
Jerry Fos(not)now
Today I received my 1965 Twins team ball back from Jerry Fosnow. I think it is time to retire sending it out. Jerry signed it in blue Sharpie even though I provided him a blue ink pen. I think he did it purposely as the only place left for him to sign was by the Bud Selig Commissioner part of the ball and to get it to show up better than blue ink he used a Sharpie. It looks a lot better than if it was placed elsewhere. There is not any more room and even though I could get two more guys on it (good signers) I will retire it now.
