Today I received my 1971 Topps Twins Rookie Stars card signed by Jim Nettles. Anthony Solano had a private signing with him so I sent in the card I had. What makes this exciting is that this card was already signed by Pete Hamm. Even though Pete is still alive, he just doesn’t sign autographs so having any card signed by him is pretty rare. The card I had was signed by Pete in red Sharpie so I included a red Sharpie in my package to Anthony and Jim signed it perfectly with it. While I would prefer blue over red, I am just happy that they are both the same color on a hard to find completed card!
