Today we returned from a quick family vacation to Rapid City, SD and the baseball mail was awesome!<\/p>\n
First, I mailed a request to Wade Boggs to sign a baseball and HOF postcard. \u00a0Since I recently mailed to him for two Sports Illustrated magazines, I asked my father-in-law if he minded if I sent one in his name. \u00a0It showed up to his house while we were gone. \u00a0I sent $25 cash this time for the donation to the hospital. \u00a0I received a real nice baseball with HOF 05 and HOF postcard also with HOF 05.<\/p>\n
Then I opened the mail and found that Carlton Fisk had signed both of my Sports Illustrated magazines I had sent to him before leaving. \u00a0That included an $80 donation to “The Cancer Support Center”.<\/p>\n
Also in the mail today was a Ryan Zimmerman card that was from the 2007 Topps set. \u00a0I traded with Eric H (toastwrpi on SCN) and got it while I was gone.<\/p>\n
Finally, my favorite package… \u00a0I have mentioned my friend Jon S (tjsportcards on Pat Neshek’s site) on here before. \u00a0Most recently that I got some Brian Dozier items signed for him as he is a huge Dozier fan. \u00a0Well, while I was gone Jon sent me a REAL nice package of Twins items signed while in Rochester. \u00a0Jon has season tickets to the Red Wings and does a ton of autographing there. \u00a0In the package was the following awesome items:
