Today I was able to pick up what was a tradition for my friend Rob M and I going back to the Metrodome days.\u00a0 On a Friday during Lent, I would swing by McDonald’s on my way to spending lunch at the ballpark with Rob and pick up fish sandwiches.\u00a0 We would go to a suite and hang out and chat about our families and baseball.\u00a0 Because I was so busy the last few years at work, I made it a point to make it happen this year and today was the day.
\nIt was neat to spend time at the ballpark and especially with Rob.\u00a0 Looking out of the suite at the field, I could see the outfield grass getting mowed.\u00a0 How cool is that?
\nAfter lunch, I was able to check out the new Bat & Barrel area (formerly Metropolitan Club) and the realignment of the area by Gate 29 where they removed a few rows of seats and made the concourse wider.\u00a0 It really looked great!
\nOn my way out, Rob gave me a bag with a couple Twins swag items.\u00a0 Inside was a baseball signed by John Ryan Murphy.\u00a0 I did not have one signed by him so this was a great addition to the collection.
