That’s the ticket by George!

Today I received my 3000th hit ticket signed by George Brett in the mail.  I am stoked!  I had this ticket for a while and George does not do many shows but Tom Orr (orr23mj on SCN) got a private signing with him so I knew I had to send in the ticket.  I got the inscription 3000th Hit on it too.  It turned out great.  Tom does a great job and takes care of your items as if they were his.  Thanks Tom!

Lenny Lenny!

Today I received my Lenny Webster card from a signing Chris Potter had.  It is the 1994 Topps #252.  I liked this card because it was one of the few cards which featured a Twins player in their home uniform.  The problem at the Metrodome was the lighting so there are not many Twins cards in the 90’s with the player in their home uniform.  This card officially closes the book on my Lenny Webster needs for my Twins project too!

Spring Has Sprung!

Today I received the first of a couple packages from a pair of guys from SCN who are working spring training teams in Arizona.  Ethan (ethanoah) and Kent (doggle3) did a great job so far.  It is obvious they treated my items as if they were their own.  All the autographs are perfect and beautiful.  They did a great job and are still working on more the last few weeks of spring training.

Today I got in:
Jason Kipnis OMLB
Brian Wilson OMLB
Hyun-Jin Ryu OMLB
Patrick Corbin OMLB
Mike Olt OMLB
Jose Dariel Abreu OMLB
Archie Bradley OMLB
Clayton Kershaw ML Debut Ticket
Chris Sale ML Debut Ticket
Conor Gillaspie 1st HR Ticket
Jarrod Parker ML Debut Ticket
Jim Thome 2011 Allen & Ginter #204
Jim Thome 2011 Topps #304

Like I said above, these guys took care of my stuff as if they were their own.  I cannot wait to see what else they are able to get signed for me as spring training winds down!

Thanks guys!

Another 1980 Solid Gold!

The Hockey Expo was going on at the Xcel Arena this weekend.  The Herb Brooks Foundation had a few members of the 1980 Olympic hockey team signing there and as luck would have it, I needed one of them.  Rob McClannahan was signing autographs from 5-6 so I brought my Sports Illustrated to work with the hope of swinging by afterwards.  I left work and got there with plenty of time.  I knew I had to leave as soon as I was done because Caden had a baseball practice starting early.  Rob showed up a few minutes early and I was able to get the 1980 Sportsmen of the Year issue signed.  He was very nice talking with everyone and signing away.  I am pleased it worked out the way it did.
