You’re Flipping Me

Within the last year or so, my buddy Steve mailed me a bunch of his tickets from Cardinals and other games he has attended.  He knows I collect them and was happy to share them with me.  I appreciate that!  Last weekend Tom Lawless was doing a signing with Chris D (cpdinc on SCN) so I knew I had to send in the ticket from Game 4 of the 1987 World Series.  Tom signed it with the inscription ‘Bat Flip’.  If you do not remember the game or the at bat, check it out here.  It is a pretty neat addition to the collection.  I thank Steve, Chris, and Tom for making it happen!

Trade ’em!

Today I received a few cards that was my receiving end of a good old fashion card trade.  A while back I won an auction of a lot of signed cards from the 1960’s.  I kept the cards I needed and listed the others for trade on SCN.  One of the people who contacted me was Ian N (imn875 on SCN) who needed a 1963 Andre Rodgers card.  He had a 1972 Danny Thompson card so we made a trade.  I told him I would include a card of his favorite team which he said was the Phillies and he included a few Twins.  It was a really fun and cool trade.  The complete list of cards I received was:
1972 Topps 368 Danny Thompson
1994 Score 89 Chuck Knoblauch
1998 Topps Opening Day 135 Chuck Knoblauch
1996 Donruss/Leaf Signature Series Pat Meares
Athletes In Action Brian Harper
Thanks for the great trade Ian!

Don’t Be A Hader

Today I received a couple packages from Chris L (ChrisL999 on SCN).  The first package from him had a Josh Hader signed baseball.  I did not have an autograph of this super star reliever so I am excited to add it to the collection!
The other package had my March 30, 2015 Sports Illustrated issue that was already signed by Salvador Perez.  Chris was able to get Greg Holland to sign it and finish it.  I am pumped about both of these items!  Thanks Chris!
