Today I received a final batch of signed baseballs from Chris L (ChrisL999 on SCN). Chris did a great job this season getting me a lot of the top 100 prospects who played on the East Coast minor league teams. This package contained:
Tristan Casas w/”2018 1st Rnd Pick”
Greg Jones w/”2019 1st Rd”
Andrew Vaughn
Alec Bohm
Brailyn Marquez
I am excited to add these to my collection and cannot wait for next season so we can do this all over again! Thanks Chris!
A Fair Day
Today Cami and I went to the MN State Fair for a few hours. It was fun to hang out with her and bum around the fairgrounds. I noticed that Tony Oliva was going to be there so I grabbed a couple of the items I had for the Twins Hall of Fame Breakfast (he did not attend) and put them in a notebook. We got to the Fair and went to the Twins booth and found Tony O was tossing Wiffleballs to kids in the Wiffleball field. We walked around and got some food and went back just in time as he sat down to sign a few autographs. Cami got a 2019 Allen & Ginter and a 1968 Atlantic card signed. I got a 2019 Allen & Ginter signed as well. He was in a great mood taking pictures and signing autographs. We had a great day at the Fair!
Honk The Horne
Today I received a pair of Legendary Voices signature cards signed by Dave Van Horne. Dave signed them in black Sharpie and they look great!
One in the Busch
Today was a fun day! I received a 2009 Topps update Brian Buscher card from him. What makes this really cool is that it was the last card I needed to complete the Twins team set of cards for that year. Pat Neshek has been able to contact a number of former players who agreed to reply to their mail for a small fee and Buscher was one of them. In my note, I wrote that his card was the final card I needed to complete my 2009 team set and he wrote a note apologizing one being the last one! Pretty neat return today!
