While at O.co Coliseum, This Happened…

While on our family vacation, we went to an Oakland A’s home game and Cami had the time of her life at the game.
Before the game she got the following players on signature cards: Bruce Maxwell Ross Detwiler Ron Washington During the game she had the aisle seat and after each top of the inning finished, she ran down a couple rows above the dugout with her glove to try to get a ball.  After the top of the 3rd inning finished, Max Muncy tossed the final out ball to her!  She was PUMPED! If that was not enough, she ended up getting on the big screen waving her hand later in the game! She will not soon forget going to the A’s game!

AZ #1259

Today we went on a tour of Alcatraz while on our trip to San Francisco.  We were all pretty excited about it but it turned out to be even neater than we thought.

After the tour, Bill Baker, a former inmate at Alcatraz, was signing his book.  Of course Cami could not pass up getting him to sign her National Parks passport as well as a book we bought.  Mr Baker was inmate number 1259 at Alcatraz and was incarcerated from 1961-1963 there.  We chatted with him for a couple minutes after he signed her book.

A Trio Of World Champions

A week or so ago I saw where Dan Gladden, Scott Leius, and Gene Larkin were going to be at the Mall of America signing autographs today.  I asked Cami and Caden if they wanted to go and Cami said she did so we planned on going.

We got there and waited anxiously to start.

The first person we encountered in the line was Dan Gladden.  Cami had Dan sign a photo of the collision at home plate from the 1991 World Series.

He asked if he could personalize it and Cami said sure.  He wrote a pretty cool inscription.  She was on Cloud Nine.

Next up was Scott Leius and then Gene Larkin.  Cami got a card signed by each.

I got Gladden to sign a large photo of Randy Bush’s slide home from the 1987 World Series.  I got Leius and Larkin to sign the team celebration World Series Sports Illustrated from 1991 where they were both pictured.

It was a fun time.  Later on we went to the Twins game and Cami got Carson Fulmer to sign a card for her!

Sunday Kids Day

Today was a rare day. All four of us went to the Twins game. I had exchanged tickets to another game so we had four tickets to the game today. Turns out that nobody was sitting in the seats next to our traded in seats so we were able to all sit together. Before the game, in typical Sunday Game fashion, Cami waited in line to get a couple autographs in her scorebook. Today it was Darin Mastroianni and Pat Dean signing. She got those two in her book and we all enjoyed the game. The Twins hit three home runs but that was not enough and they lost by two. It was a real fun game though with all of us together.
