For some reason, I am really attracted to the Venezuelan baseball cards printed in the 1960s. I picked up a couple recently and sent them out to be signed. They are typically way more worn and printed on thinner stock but having a back of a card in Spanish or a different background is cool to me. Today’s mail brought a 1964 Venezuelan Garry Roggenburk card that he signed in thin black Sharpie. Cool oddball card for the collection!

Just Happ’y to Be Here
Ryan S (Rls2239 on SCN) had a private signing with JA Happ. I had four cards I needed to be signed for my Twins card collection. Ryan had a deal where you send in four get one free so I sent in five cards. They arrived today and look great!
The cards I received are:
2021 Topps #US126
2021 Allen & Ginter #165 @ 2
2021 Topps Now Road to Opening Day #OD-131
2021 Topps Now #119

A while ago I had sent in a pair of Topps Project 70 cards for a signing that Tom O (orr23mj on SCN) was having with Rod Carew. I asked Tom to use a nice bold gold paint pen. Well, when I received them the paint pen appears transparent on it. I reached out to Tom and he told me to send them back next time he had a signing with him.
I sent the two cards so he could wipe them or show that they were messed up plus a replacement of each of them (I usually buy two of things for exactly this reason) as well as a different Project 70 card and a Topps Andy Friedman Spotlight 70 Series II card. I received all six cards signed today. I did not expect the two that were signed in gold to be signed but they were and I was able to remove the gold paint pen. Tom provides solid customer service!

When Willians Astudillo was with the Twins, he was a true fan favorite. Most casual fans loved him. Today I got a 2019 Topps Heritage #120 signed from Chad L (TheChad on SCN). He had gotten an extra signed and offered it up on SCN and I grabbed it!
